Unique Bazaar provides a unique retail environment, and leases retail space to select merchants. We welcome anyone interested in opening a business in the Unique Bazaar to fill out an application and come speak to us. We encourage all prospective tenants to personally deliver completed applications to the leasing office in the Wheaton bazaar, and to speak with a leasing agent there. Leases are monthly, making Unique Bazaar an ideal place for first time business owners, and those with new and interesting business ideas to experiment with minimum commitment.

Q: Do you have space available now?
A: At most times the bazaar is full, and applications are accepted for future space. As all leases are monthly, tenants do leave at the ends of months making space available for the next.
Q: Do you have a waiting list?
A: We do have a list of tenants waiting for space.
Q: Do spaces become available on a first come first serve basis?
A: No.
Q: How do you determine which applications get accepted?
A: The primary factor for determining who gets space is how that business is going to contribute to the overall uniqueness and diversity of the bazaar.
Q: How do I go about applying for Bazaar space?
A: Fill out an application, and hand it to a leasing agent at the Wheaton Bazaar located at:

Q: Do I need insurance for my business?
A: You are required to have liability insurance. We can provide monthly liability insurance through our provider, or you can provide your own. Speak to a leasing agent for details.
Q: Do I need a business license?
A: Yes. Speak with the Montgomery County Licensing Department for details.
Q: What is required at a lease signing?
A: One month rent payment, and the appropriate funds for the deposit.
